What is Naturopathy?
Naturopathy is a system of healthcare that promotes the body's own self-healing mechanisms. It uses natural therapies such as nutrition, homeopathy, herbal medicine, diet, hydrotherapy, lifestyle advice and others, in accordance with naturopathic principles.
What is Herbal Medicine?
Herbal medicine has existed for millennia.
In recent years, scientists have started studying the biochemical mechanisms responsible for the health benefits of many plants. Thanks to this research, we have much better knowledge of which constituents of the plants the body uses.
These constituents work together to support your organs and systems.
Does Herbal Medicine Work?
The simple answer is....Yes
Specific herbs have a scientifically understood affinity for specific organs. They have a deep healing effect on the tissues, and work both on the body and the mind.
Herbal medicine is the oldest and most widely used form of medicine in the world. According to the World Health Organisation it is estimated that over 80% of the world's population relies on herbs for their health.
The second most widely used form of medicine is homeopathy.

Dealing with yourself in a 'first aid' situation is a rather different aspect of homeopathy and something we can all learn to do for ourselves. So, it may be difficult to know where to start on your own when the first aid or therapeutic remedies fail to work. Homeopathy hasn't failed, it's just that the homeopathic treatment of emotional and physical conditions varies from person to person.
Who can benefit?
Everyone - people of all ages - from unborn babies - to the elderly; men and women alike. Homeopathy is particularly helpful for stress-related issues; conditions related to the mind and emotions. Over 200 million people around the world use homeopathy.
Kinesiology
What is Kinesiology (kin.easy.ology)
Muscle testing is used in assessment. This method of testing provides biofeedback; a means of testing a person's response to a specific stimulus such as food, a belief, a movement, a remedy, an herb, etc. Developed by John Thie kinesiology testing is a safe system used by many health professionals. In my work I often use kinesiology muscle testing to:
- Confirm diagnosis.
- Endorse a prescription.
Testing is carried out with the patient fully clothed.
All muscle tests are performed in the same way. The muscle being tested is isolated from the other muscles with which it normally works and is semi-contracted. The tester pushes with about 2lbs pressure for about 2 seconds towards the extension while the person being tested tries to match the testers pressure. The muscle will either lock in position 'strong', or 'give way' indicating an imbalance.

About
I spent my first twenty-one years in Stone, Staffordshire before moving to North Africa, where my husband and I worked. After fifteen months we moved to St Lucia in the Caribbean for a further three years before settling in Hong Kong, in the Far East, for the next twenty-two; spending time in Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Indonesian and Philippines.
Whilst in Hong Kong, my interest into the underlying cause of why people fall ill, led to twenty-five years of study. Whilst in the Far East I became a Reiki Master; my Reiki Tree linage identifies my master as Deborah Chan; she was attuned by Phyllis Lei Furmoto who was attuned by Mrs Hawayo Takata the Japanese American who brought Reiki to the West. In 1996 I returned to the United Kingdom.
In 1997 I gained a diploma in Reflexology, after completing a comprehensive one-year course with Ann Gillanders, at The British School of Reflexology, in Essex.
Between 1998 - 99 I added IIHHT Diplomas in Body Massage, Indian Head Massage, Aromatherapy and Anatomy and Physiology at Stafford College of Further Education.
In June 2002, I added Licentiate of The College of Practical Homeopathy, Birmingham, and registered with the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths, in November of the same year.
During the following fifteen years I added Diplomas in Touch for Health and Classical Kinesiology with Terry Larder at The British School of Kinesiology, Leicester, and Health Kinesiology with Julie Tasker, in Nottingham.
Between 2017 - 2022 I became a registered Naturopath & Herbalist having studied Naturopathy and Herbal medicine at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, London.
